PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 16, 2026 – Soltech Solutions announced today that its Aura grow light has received a 2026 iF Design Award, one of the world’s most respected honors for design excellence. The recognition highlights how the company is redefining plant lighting by transforming the traditional grow light into a design object for modern homes.
The award recognizes Aura’s design-led approach to indoor plant lighting, transforming a traditionally technical grow light into a sculptural object for contemporary interiors.
Awarded in the Product Design – Lighting category, Aura was selected by an international jury of 129 independent design experts from more than 10,000 submissions across 68 countries. The product achieved a final jury score of 305 points, surpassing the 275-point threshold required to win.
Designed by Matteo Ragni Studio in Turin, Italy, Aura was created to challenge the traditional perception of what a grow light should be. Rather than functioning solely as a technical device for plant care, the project reimagines plant lighting as a design object, one that supports plant life while enhancing the spaces and people around it.
The result is the world’s first ambient grow lamp, combining warm diffused lighting with a light spectrum engineered to help plants thrive. With its softly glowing globe and solid wood base, Aura integrates naturally into modern interiors as both lighting and décor.
Aura was designed to transform the traditional grow light into a design object for everyday living.
