Orange, MA — January 8, 2026 — The Modern Parenthood Institute today announced the launch of its Doctor of Integrative Parent Education (DIPE) program, a 16-month advanced training pathway designed to prepare experienced parent-education professionals for leadership roles in the growing field of integrative family support. The program is scheduled to begin June 30, 2026.
The DIPE credential is the Institute’s highest level of training, intended for practitioners who have already completed the organization’s Parent Coach Certification Program and Sleep Practitioner Certification Program. According to the Institute, the curriculum responds to increasing demand for non-clinical professionals who can support families with evidence-informed education, communication strategies, behavioral understanding, and whole-family guidance.
The program is organized into four central pillars: Integrative Mind, The Evidence & The Art, Voice, Vision & Impact, and Leadership, Mentorship & Embodiment. Together, these focus areas aim to give practitioners a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, emotional intelligence, and research-supported methods of parent education.
“Families today face an unprecedented volume of information, competing advice, and environmental stressors,” the Institute said in a statement. “Professionals in parent-education are increasingly expected to integrate developmental science, emotional literacy, communication frameworks, and supportive guidance that honors the individuality of each family. The DIPE program was designed to meet that need.”
Graduates of the program will complete a capstone demonstrating applied research, curriculum development, workshop design, or another substantive contribution to the field. The Institute notes that the program does not confer clinical or therapeutic authority. DIPE graduates do not diagnose or treat medical or psychological conditions and do not practice as licensed mental-health providers. Their work centers on non-clinical support, education, and family guidance.
Research has shown that parent-education programs can have a positive influence on children’s social-emotional development, school engagement, and family stability. As interest grows in prevention-focused and educational models, organizations across the country are expanding opportunities for family-support practitioners. The Modern Parenthood Institute reports that inquiries for advanced training have increased significantly over the past three years, driven by parent-coaches, newborn specialists, sleep practitioners, educators, and community-based professionals seeking additional depth and structure.
The DIPE program includes live instruction, supervised practicum components, peer review, and mentorship. Participants will also be added to a national directory of integrative parent-education professionals upon completion.
Applications for the inaugural 2026 cohort open in January. The Institute states that admission will be limited in order to maintain small-group learning and personalized supervision during the capstone process.
