New Jersey, United States, 21st Dec 2025 – New Chapter Recovery today announced the expansion of its integrated mental health and addiction treatment programs to strengthen access to evidence-based services for individuals with substance use disorders. The initiative includes hiring additional licensed clinicians trained in dual diagnosis treatment and increasing capacity across its outpatient addiction treatment facilities in New Jersey.
The expansion comes amid growing concern about limited access to coordinated behavioral healthcare. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), nearly 88% of individuals with substance use disorders did not receive treatment in 2024, and approximately one-third of U.S. adults experience co-occurring mental illness and addiction conditions that frequently require integrated dual diagnosis treatment to support long-term recovery.
“We continue to see firsthand how gaps in behavioral health access create barriers for individuals ready to begin recovery,” said Sarah Johnson, Communications Director at New Chapter Recovery. “By expanding our dual diagnosis treatment programs and addiction treatment facilities, we can better meet the needs of patients struggling with co-occurring disorders and provide care that treats the whole person.”
Fragmented treatment often forces patients to navigate separate providers for addiction care and mental health counseling, slowing recovery progress. New Chapter Recovery’s expansion includes additional cross-trained staff and enhanced case management to increase continuity of care across programs.
“Our mission is to provide evidence-based, compassionate treatment rooted in clinical best practices,” said Dr. Michael Ramirez, Clinical Director at New Chapter Recovery. “These program enhancements will help reduce wait times, improve coordinated care pathways, and support improved outcomes for individuals and families seeking recovery services.”
The expanded services include:
- Integrated outpatient behavioral health services
- Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
- Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
- Standard Outpatient Programs (OP)
- Dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring disorders
- Medication-assisted treatment
- Trauma-informed therapy and counseling
New Chapter Recovery remains committed to advancing access to integrated care models across its addiction treatment facilities, strengthening workforce readiness, and expanding behavioral healthcare capacity in local communities.
