What began as a niche idea is redefining the egg roll-and outgrowing its first home in just one year
CHARLOTTE, NC / ACCESS Newswire / January 15, 2026 / After just one year in its original 384-square-foot space, Eggroll Company officially expanded into a new 1,569-square-foot restaurant-nearly 4.5 times larger-marking a rare and rapid growth moment for a locally built food brand fueled by viral momentum and community demand.
The new location at 301 Camp Road, Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28206 opened on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 12 PM, with opening-day lines extending out the door and spilling across neighboring businesses.
From Local Buzz to a National Viral Moment
Even before the move, Eggroll Company was gaining traction. Customers began reporting that they were seeing the brand “everywhere”-at events, pop-ups, and across social media. Lines steadily grew longer. Then came the turning point.

A visit from nationally known food reviewer Mr. Chimetime sparked an immediate surge in demand. His review video dropped while the Eggroll Company team was actively serving at an event.
“We hadn’t even watched the video yet,” the team recalls. “But suddenly we had a line full of people who already had.”
Eggroll Company sold out of food the same day.

Since that moment, the brand has served thousands of customers from around the world-from Charlotte to Dubai, selling over 100,000 egg rolls in a single year and selling out nearly every day. Its online presence grew just as quickly, expanding from 2,800 Instagram followers to more than 42,000, alongside 18,000 on Facebook and nearly 8,000 on TikTok.
Outgrowing the Space-Almost Immediately
The success came with real constraints.
“About three months in, we already knew the space wasn’t going to be enough,” said founder Daphne Alexander. “The only reason it didn’t hit immediately was because it was winter.”
The primary limitation wasn’t demand, but capacity. Limited prep and storage space forced the team to close early or halt service mid-day, sometimes with a full line of customers waiting, just to prepare more food.
“At one point, all we could say was, we just want to sell more egg rolls,” Alexander said.

Built From the Ground Up
Eggroll Company’s expansion has been entirely bootstrapped, with profits consistently reinvested into growth. The brand evolved step-by-step-from a tent, to a food truck, to a food stall, and now to a full-scale restaurant.
“I love what I do. I love people. And I love the reactions to our food,” Alexander said. “The demand was evident from the beginning, and we just kept pouring back into the business.”

What the New Location Makes Possible
The larger space removes the production limits that once held the brand back. Increased prep and storage capacity allows Eggroll Company to meet demand more consistently-an important shift for a business that sold 100,000 egg rolls in one year from a food stall.
Beyond volume, the new location enables deeper community engagement, including events, collaborations, and a more immersive brand experience.
“We’ve had people from all walks of life, from all over the world, come eat with us,” Alexander said. “This space lets us connect further and build something bigger than just food.”
Redefining the Egg Roll
At its core, Eggroll Company is working to re-establish what an egg roll can be, blending creativity, culture, and community into a concept that feels both familiar and entirely new. That vision-paired with relentless demand-continues to drive the brand’s growth.
