Following the presentation ceremony, Indian Creek High School kicked off the season’s first big event: Dugan Night at Friday Night Football. The Indian Creek Varsity Boys Football team scored 29-10, winning their game against Greenwood High School.
Proceeds from the donation will be used to fund student sports passes, thereby eliminating entry fees that can be a barrier to attendance. Throughout the school year, every student can attend all sporting events free of charge, including home football and basketball games. School officials have reported a significant increase in student attendance and community engagement since the entry fee requirement was removed.
“Removing the entry fee barrier is a proven success. We’ve seen a big increase in not only attendance, but also school spirit and a drive to keep students involved and invested in their academic community,” said a spokesperson for Indian Creek Schools.
Dugan Air actively supports the school district in other ways, including:
- Half-court shot competitions and other halftime giveaways at local games.
- Donating school supplies to elementary and intermediate school students.
