Some people work out – others work… while out. But leading treadmill suppliers say that being away on business doesn’t mean people have to pause their exercise routines. According to research by JLL, popular hotel chains are taking measures to equip fitness rooms and guest rooms alike with kettlebells, yoga mats… and even treadmills.
And as technology continues to blur the line between exercise and entertainment, these hotels are scrambling to adapt.
Exercise On the Go
Treadmills like the SOLE F80 are fitted with Android-driven, leisure app-compatible touch screen panels. These treadmills can now be seen in hotels and homes across the country. Cutting-edge technology also contributes to their durable, folding designs – and hotels had a say in that evolution, too.
The experts at SOLE Fitness say the need for treadmills that could be moved around hotels with ease largely drove the development of their F80 – and similar brands observed the same.
As such, workout enthusiasts who prefer to haul their exercise equipment from space to space now have access to treadmills that check this box. And, as they embrace the convenience of indoor workouts, suppliers have also worked on the comfort of treadmill-based running – particularly in comparison to outdoor tracks.

Users can look to avoid the soreness and joint issues that outdoor runners deal with on the regular – with treadmill decks providing relief.
Custom Settings
Modern runners can also customize their workouts more extensively. Many treadmills now offer a variety of pre-configured programs built in. SOLE treadmills, for example, come with ongoing access to the brand’s corresponding app, which features a rolling library of classes and evolving running tutorials tailored to different health goals. Their spokesperson elaborated.
“Our workouts are made for all levels and range from 10 minutes to 60 minutes. We utilize heart rate metrics and data from your equipment across all of our workouts to help you work out smarter.”
With all this in mind, it’s no wonder so many hotels have added mobile machines that allow users to implement regular, dynamic workouts into their daily schedule – even on the road. If treadmill suppliers have anything to say about it, even more innovations are imminent… putting comfort and convenience front and center.
